Model of the Moment: Karlie Kloss

Okay, so I know you may be sick of seeing Kloss on every single runway, ad campaign and at every major fashion event around the globe, but she is my favorite model of the moment for various reasons. Oh and did I mention she's only 22? Karlie Kloss is a iconic sensation that has modeled for pretty much every major designer out there. She first appeared in Vogue in 2008 and was photographed by the famous photographer, Annie Leibovitz. She was first scouted from a local fashion charity show at the young age of 13. She has worked with powerhouse brands such as Dior, Hermes and Balenciaga and walked for designers such as Isabel Marant, Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs , Lanvin and countless others.

Kloss didn't always dream of being a superstar model. She had a passion for ballet and happened to stumble into modeling. "I never imagined myself doing this, doors opened for me and I ran for it", Says Kloss about her modeling career.

The one thing  that makes an amazing model is their ability to be versatile; the ability to have a fierce walk for Oscar de La Renta and then playfully strut down the runway of Victoria Secret in fun lingerie. Not to mention she has a killer walk, lengthy long legs and stunning green eyes.

I've chosen my favorite ad campaigns from Kloss to feature in my post, hope you enjoy!

Blogger Spotlight: Chiara Ferragni - The Blonde Salad

There are many bloggers out there who are extremely dedicated to bringing the latest fashion to their followers on a daily basis. They post about trends, designers, outfits and share the story of their lives with millions of people. The most renowned bloggers are featured in magazines like Vogue and invited to sit front row at the worlds most prestigious shows. Some even have designers endorse them and pay them to wear their clothing because they have so much influence over the fashion world! It takes a lot of hard work and enthusiasm to be a well-respected blogger in the fashion community today.

There is one blogger who stands out from the rest, one that I have been following since the beginning of her blogging journey in October of 2009.Chiara Ferragni was born in Italy in 1987 and says she inherited her passion for photography and fashion from her mother. Ferragni started her blog when she was just 22 and now it has turned into something much more, a personal display of her fashionable life through pictures, quotes, stories and videos. Her bohemian chic style is inspiration to people all over the world and one of my personal favorites!

These are some of my favorite Blonde Salad looks and personal stye inspirations.

In this post, Chiara boldly wears a piece from Jeremy Scott;s Moschino super eccentric collection was the most entertaining of all the Fall 2014 collections!.

Here, Chiara wears Balenciaga Booties with Ellie Sasson shorts and shirt paired with a Chanel bag. I love the greens she used for this look and how she paired the edgy patterned outfit with sleek Chanel.

The last look I chose because I love her chic cat eye shades paired with the feminine and flirty white blouse. Here, Chirara is wearing Levi denim paired with a shoulder mini Celine bag.

Trend Report: Fall 2014 Fashion on the Streets

Ah street style, my absolute favorite aspect of the fashion world. This is where designers get to see their visions come alive with the creativity and individuality of fashionistas around the globe. There were plenty of fresh trends in Fall 2014 shows this season that I am super excited to see on my favorite bloggers, editors and models in their street style looks! During these shows, we saw lovely new shades of pastel blue hues, military academy outerwear, heavy lug soles, check patterns and faces galore. Take a look at these women who carried these looks right off the runway flawlessly.

Heavy Soles
Although I must admit, at first I was skeptical about these heavy lug soles because they just look...heavy. But these women add a great deal of femininity to the shoe that I couldn't resist.

Checks and Balances
The checkered look has been on the scene for quite some time now, but these ladies are re-vamping the style with a grungy aesthetic.

The Prada Faces
When first viewing the Fall 2014 Prada show, I was a bit surprised to see the noisy colors paired with cartoon like images Miuccia Prada chose for her collection. I am delighted to see this brave collection make an appearance on the streets more than once.

Kirsten Stewart For Chanel

The newest sultry face for Chanel? Kirsten Stewart! Whether you like her or not, there is no denying her uncanny ability to shine in front of the camera. After three campaigns for Balenciaga through two different creative directors, Stewart takes on Chanel with Karl Lagerfield.

Lagerfield first announced Stewart's major role as the face of the Chanel's Métiers d’Art collection in early December. The collection was shown in Dallas, rodeo style. The show included a unique southern flare alongside tons of embellishments, fringe and plenty of signature Chanel tweed.

The photo shoot was complete with cornrows in Stewart's hair and a tooth pick in her mouth. The photos are super pouty, and includes Stewart's signature death stare that is executed impeccably in every photo. In my opinion, the 23-year-old actress perfectly embodies the timelessly sexy and refined look of Chanel.

Take a look for yourself, what do you think?

5 Essentials Every Woman Should Have In Their Closet

Being a stylish woman in todays world can take a significant amount of dedication and precision. Sometimes, I feel as though it is difficult to constantly keep up with the fast changing trends from season to season, but there are a few tricks help you stay on top of your fashion game. When purchasing essentials for your wardrobe, there are many factors to keep in mind such as the material, fit and color of the item. Here are a list of my personal 5 items that I believe every woman should have in their closet!

1) A Black Pump
A plain black leather pump is one of the most important pieces a woman can own. You can pair them with jeans or a skirt to add instant sophistication.

Manolo Blahnik 'BB' Pump $595.00

2) A Bold Blazer
The fit of a blazer makes all the difference! A blazer is an essential piece for any closet because you can dress it up with a nice dress pant for a more corporate look or dress it down with jeans and heels. There are all different styles of blazers, oversized, double breasted, one button and asymmetrical. Try on a few to see which one looks best on you.

Theory 'Lanai' Twill Jacket Women's White $355.00

3)  A Classic Timepiece
Watches are always capable of making a major statement and can pull any outfit together. I love Michele watches because they have a classic look and come in various shapes.

Michele Deco Watch $1,995.00

4) A Carry-All Tote
A large bag is super important for every busy woman with a need to bring all of her belongings with her around 24/7. Try choosing a bold color for your tote to spice up any outfit.

Celine Medium Red Phantom Luggage Smooth Leather Tote Bag $3,598.00

5) A Perfectly Fitting Pair of Jeans
The key to looking great in a pair of jeans is all in the fit. Make sure when your shopping for jeans, you focus on finding the correct pair for your waist, height and the proper hemline. I love Joe's jeans because they hug the body perfectly and come in stretch which is always the most comfortable choice.

Joe's Jeans Honey Curvy Bootcut $158.00
